This historic 1909 Victorian, located in the heart of downtown Hays, KS, is currently being restored to its former glory. Built by a prominent Hays Entrepreneur, Justus Bissing Jr., who then sold the home to the Basgall family. The Basgall family loved and cared for the home for over 80 years. The house then served several years as a formal Bed and Breakfast called the Tea Rose Inn. This is now our home that we'd love to share with you!
This beautiful Victorian is currently our home. We have opened up the wrap around porch, the entryway and the second floor to guests. There is free street parking directly in front of the home, a light breakfast consisting of your choice of granola bars, coffees, teas, and creamers. We encourage you to explore our downtown for a full hot breakfast. Each suite is named after a historical person or event associated with the home. Each suite has a private attached bathroom.
Bissing Suite: Handmade queen sized bed. Clawfoot tub and shower combination.
